What is Hypnotherapy?


Hypnotherapy is a complementary and therapeutic technique used to bring positive changes to your life. It helps to treat many different issues from stress and anxiety to feelings of being stuck, confused and unfulfilled. It releases you from phobias and fears that may be holding you back and It helps to build your self-confidence and stops you repeating those same negative patterns again! It can help you achieve results and lose weight even though you may have tried and failed in the past.


Hypnotherapy can be used in many more ways than the few I’ve mentioned above and is about self-empowerment, believing and trusting in yourself and helping you live your life to your fullest potential.


How does Hypnotherapy Work?


It works by relaxing your conscious mind and accessing your unconscious mind, this is where your learned behaviors, patterns and past emotions are stored.


If you’ve ever struggled to make changes in your life it’s very likely you have an unconscious negative connection to a situation, you are attached even without being consciously aware; and it is holding you back.


Hypnotherapy releases unhealthy attachments and helps you to build new positive behaviors and healthy associations to both your conscious and unconscious. You may even start to notice the positive changes you wish to see in yourself and become aware of the new actions you are taking to achieve your desires after our first session, others may not become aware at all and one day realise they have made the positive changes completely unconsciously aware!


What Hypnotherapy is not!


People can be curious and skeptical about Hypnotherapy as many peoples only experience, association and knowledge of hypnosis may be what they have seen on TV or on stage shows for entertainment. Please know that hypnotherapy is not a show for anyone’s entertainment. Hypnotherapy is about self-empowerment and is an incredibly effective way to reprogram your unconscious mind safely and on a deep level.


While in a hypnotic trance you are always in control, you may prefer to wear loose and comfortable clothing to help you relax and please rest assured you will remain fully clothed at all times during our session, you won’t be made to dance like a chicken or eat a raw onion believing it to be a delicious apple, you will not be performing tricks and you will not be asked or persuaded to do anything that you do not want to do, during a session even though you are in a hypnotic state you are aware of everything that is going on around you and you are in full control.


Now you know that you won’t be marching in an imaginary band playing your imaginary trumpet while in a session with me, I am hoping your still with me!
